Cardio Dance Blast!

My good friend Sarah and I are teaching a Cardio Dance class Wednesday mornings at Walnut Creek church. Bright and early at 5:45 am begins the dancing and moving and shaking. It's a great workout and the best part is that it is SUPER fun. It's a free 8 week course starting November 30 (today) so if you're just reading this now, you've already missed the first class. All ladies are welcome! Hope to see you and your dance moves there!

Work things

Sometimes at work, they have random contests. This picture is a result of one of those random contests. :) I can't even look at this picture without laughing.

Covered Bridges Festival

Kelli, Jenni, and I spent an afternoon in Winterset, Iowa with our faithful tour guide Heather for the Covered Bridges festival. I had never been to Winterset (which turned out to be not true because my old roommate Lindsay and her husband live there and I'd been there to visit before which I didnt remember until I got there). Anyways, I'd never been to the festival before so I was excited. We walked around main street for a while through so many cute shops. We sampled the ice cream, Jenni bought some cookie dough on a stick, and we all found some really purchases to bring home (i.e. scarves, hats, and necklaces). The weather was in the low 80's so it was a gorgeous afternoon to watch the parade! When that was finished we headed out towards the various covered bridges. After a while they all started to look the same but it was still fun to see them. Thanks for the fun day and for being our trusty tour guide Heather!

Brugge, Belgium: Day 5

We woke up in the cute little city of Brugge, Belgium excited for the day since Mirjam would soon be joining us and realized that it was raining. BOO. Rain wouldn’t stop us though so we put on our raincoats and headed out to explore the city in the daylight. We made our way through the town stopping in chocolate shops, visiting a monastery and blending in to tour groups as they came near us.  Mirjam arrived around lunch time and it was SO great to see her. We had not seen each other since 2006 when we went to The Netherlands to visit her so I was thankful that she was able to meet up with us on this trip and spend a couple days exploring with us. We decided to climb the clock tower in the city center, which is always both a treat and exhausting as the views are great but it’s a battle getting to the top. We basically spent the rest of the day shopping and walking around the city. It’s so cute! We had a free bike rental with our hotel room but unfortunately due to the rain, we never used them. Next time!

That's right. Its a giant anteater made of chocolate!

Lots and lots and lots of chocolate. Not mad about that!
