Resolutions.....

Theres so many things/people/moments in my life that inspire me. With this inspiration comes a need, a desire, I'm not really sure what it is but whatever it is, something is pressing me to make a resolution list. Why is it that I find satisfaction in making lists just so I can check things off? There's just something about checking that box of completion. But the thing is, it's a never ending process. There will always be boxes to check and things to cross off. So with that, comes my resolution list of things I hope to accomplish in 2008 (yes the resolutions are coming early this year).

1. Work for a good cause - I so badly want to go to africa and help out in whatever way I can. maybe for a couple of weeks, maybe for a month, who knows but I want to do it
2. Learn to play the guitar - this has been on my list since I was about 10 years old. Hopefully i can get this one checked off sooner than later
3. Spend a day with Matt and Dave - is this really attainable?! I say yes! A girl can dream can't she.
4. Invent a new letter - you know, i've been working on this one since, well, kindergarten. I'm convinced that it can happen but no luck so far. You should definitely hear some of the sounds I've made trying to come up with a new letter :)
5. Spend more time with Jesus - doing my best....
6. Take more pictures - I'm thinking I should include video in this too. Youtube is a big hit these days! I should jump on the bandwagon and starting keeping record of some of my finer moments.
7. Run in a race - I debated on putting this on my list. Someday I'd like to say I ran a marathon, but I'll settle for a 5K.
8. Sing "The Hills Are Alive, with the Sound of Music" while running across a field in Austria - this is going to happen for sure! I've loved the Sound of Music since the first time I saw the movie (that would be age 6, at least thats the first time I remember it) So I would think a dream of 18 years should probably come true. Right?!
9. Write something - I'm going to write a book someday. Not sure what, when, yada yada, but its on the resolution list.
10. Be at peace - wow, this ones deep. There's a lot going on in my life and I really just need to find peace in it all. The aloneness, the happy times, the tears, the unanswered questions, the wait.

So theres a list of 10 resolutions I hope to someday cross off my list. I should probably add a resolution to stop biting my nails but you know what, I've come to terms with the fact that no matter how hard I try, when I get nervous, its inevitable! Another resolution would be to discover new music artists. I already do this but maybe if I write this down I'll really make a point to put more effort into it. And someday, I want to spend a day hanging out with Rev Run and his family! How fun would that be!!! That family is hilarious. I can't wait to check out this ole list of mine a year from now. Lets hope I can at least cross one off the list. We'll see..... later gators!

Two Birds/One Stone

I just had to post some pictures from the Dave Barnes and Matt Wertz concert last night. Seriously, both guys in one place performing together!! What a great concert! Best Halloween Ever!
