Some great things that happened today

A couple things happened today that really just made me laugh so I thought I'd share. We had this massive storm go through the state this morning/afternoon/evening (yes it rained pretty much all day) so there was a lot of standing water on the streets. The rain had stopped finally and luckily it was time for me to go home from work. I was driving home and I noticed some kids walking home from school so I slowed down a bit. This one boy was skipping in front of the rest, he must have had a good day. There was a car in front of me that was going a bit faster and before I knew it, the car plowed right into a giant puddle. A giant tidal wave splashed on top of the boy. If you could have seen his face, you would have wet your pants from laughing so hard. I about did. He was this little thing and here he was, skipping home from school, when he gets drenched by a giant splash of water. You ever have that look where you're like "what in the world just happened?" Well, he did, but he was about 8. Priceless!

Then, I was talking to one of my kampers tonight and she was telling me about how she's been watching the Discovery Channel a lot lately. She said that every time she watches Shark Week she thinks of me. I was like, "hmmm, thats odd." Then it hit me. Back in the Real Deal Kanakuk Days, Julie and I made up a story that I was in a shark attack. It was probably one of the greatest improv stories ever told. I couldn't believe that she still remembered it. It really made my night. Thanks Ryane! (If you're reading this, sorry that we told you a lie and that you still believe it to this day. You made my night though!)

And with that, I close. What started out as a dreary raining day, God brought the sun. With the sun God brought lots of smiles. And where there is smiles, there is thanks.
